For this craft, you will need upcycled tin cans from soda cans to canned food containers, a hammer, a nail, string, and any painting materials you may want. Start by painting the cans in any of the colors you’ve chosen. Glitter can be added to the paint once the first coat has dried to add a fun, sparkling effect! Allow the cans to dry either on the grass outside, or on a large sheet in case there is a mess during the painting process. Next, thread the string through the hole in the can and tie a knot at the base so it won’t slip through after it’s hung. Once every inch of the fabric has been colored, set the projects aside for about six hours. After they have had time to dry, wash them out in hot water and throw them in the dryer. Flower Crowns

Cut the pieces of construction paper down the middle vertically so that the pieces are long. Wrap a piece of paper around your child’s head to see if it fits or needs to be altered. If the piece is not long enough, combine two strips with super glue. Color any area of the paper you want before gluing down the flowers, as the coloring process will be much more difficult once they have been attached.
